March 2, 1925 – March 25, 2023
Bill passed away in Upland at the age of 98. He was born in Chicago, IL. At the age of 3 Bill’s family moved to Ontario, California.
Bill was a WWII Navy veteran and served in the Pacific and on the USS Fall River. For many years he was the owner of the Arrow Meat Company-Locker Plant. After he retired and with help of several friends, he established what became the Foothill Independent Bank. Bill served many years as the Chairman of the Board. In 2010 the bank was sold to Pacific Western Bank.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma and his second wife Dorothy. He was married to Dorothy for almost 50 years.
He is survived by his two daughters Phyllis Landecena White (Terry), and Barbara Landecena Segrist (Michael), 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and his present wife Helena and her family.
Bill was a member of several non-profit organizations. He established the Landecena Family Charitable Foundation and contributed to many local non-profits.
Funeral Service – Tuesday, April 18 – 11:00 am
First Presbyterian Church of Upland, 869 N. Euclid Ave., Upland, CA 91786
Private interment will be at the Riverside National Cemetery
