Nancy Marie Reed

Mrs. Nancy Marie Peyronel Reed, 75, of Connelly Springs, passed over, Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Born December 14, 1936, in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Peyronel and Pansy Lee Huffman Peyronel. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reed was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Reed. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Christ Spiritual Church, Hildebran, where she served as Associate Minister. She was a pre-school teacher. She was a loving and compassionate caregiver to her family and many friends.

She will lovingly be remembered by a son, Kirk Reed & wife, Cindy, of Hildebran;

Two daughters, Sandy Buchanan & husband, Daniel, of Rutherford College and Teri VanHorn & husband, Dwight, of Connelly Springs;

A brother, Jerry Peyronel & wife, Wanda, of Brookshire, TX;

Five grandchildren, Jesse Chapman & wife, Julie; Ryan, Matthew, Bethany and Seth Buchanan;

Two great grandchildren, Jenna and Jakob Chapman will also lovingly remember her.

The family will receive friends 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Valdese Family Funeral Care, Valdese.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Reed’s memory to Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658-0715 or to March of Dimes, 7506 E Independence Blvd, Suite 114, Charlotte, NC 28277.
