Bonnie Crawford Loyd

Bonnie Crawford Loyd, 94, of Fort Smith, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at her home. She was born June 27, 1921 in Alma to the late Lonnie and Fannie Sullivant. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Buren since 1963. She served as secretary of her Sunday school class, worked the Back-to-School Fair, served in Vacation Bible school, was part of the Women’s Ministry group, served on the Hospitality and Bereavement Committees, worked in the nursery, made meals, and served food at the church. She also was in Women in Construction, and the Crawford County Extension Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George L. Crawford, and Harold E. Loyd.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Palmer and husband Gary of Fort Smith; two sons, Gary Crawford and wife Judy of Van Buren, and Jim Crawford and wife Sandra of Woodbine, GA; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
