Carolyn Sue Jones, 66, of Van Buren, left this life on Sunday, November 29, 2020 in Fayetteville. She is now with her parents, Albert and Evelyn Jones; and a grandson, Bryan Nathaniel Robbins. She was born June 20, 1954 in Fresno, California. Anyone that knew Carolyn knew of her love for her kids, furbabies, family, and friends. Just life in general.
Carolyn loved to help others. She waitressed at Carolyn’s Diner in Muldrow, she worked at the Crawford County Health Department for a long time, and she was a truck driver and loved doing that.
She loved to be with her kids, whether it was fishing, eating or just sitting around talking and laughing. Her passions in life were her family, friends, and making people laugh. Her smile was so infectious and would brighten anyone's day no matter their mood. She was a giving woman, if you needed something and Carolyn could do it, it would be done. She never asked for anything in return. Her smile, giving heart, her love for her family and friends, her unwavering love and kindness will always be remembered by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Sanders and husband John of Morgantown, WV, and Jessica Waddle of Van Buren; two sons, Chris Bartley and wife Tanya of Morgantown, and Ben Bartley and wife Kristie of Van Buren; three sisters, Erma Jones and Nellie Palmer, both of Muldrow, and Cindy Jones of Fort Smith; four brothers, Albert Jones of Fort Smith, William Jones of Sallisaw, Mike Jones of Muldrow, and Jerry Jones of Sallisaw; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two furbabies, Shadow and Angel; and numerous other family and friends.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Matt Jones, Josh Jones, Ronnie Palmer, H. Palmer, Ralph Lord, and Bryan Robbins. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Jones, Jerry Jones, Chris Bartley, Ben Bartley, Andrew Robbins, and Chris Henderson.
Viewing will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
