

Charles Brown, 70, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Fort Smith. He was born March 10, 1951 in Forest City, Iowa to the late Gene and Dorothy Brown. He was a retired Master Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force after 24 years, was a truck driver, and was a full-time disciple.
He is survived by his wife, Laurna Brown of the home; two daughters, Bonnie Ball and husband Jake of Van Buren, and Christie Loyd of Conway; a son, Jeremy Newton of Cedarville; a sister, Debbie Brown of California; two brothers, Steve Brown and wife Gaye of California, and Donnie Brown and wife Susan of California; ten grandchildren, Daniel, Marie, Bethany, Evelyn, JJ, Michael, Mark, Audrey, Issac, and Elincia; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Mike Ming, Lenny Ming, Jake Ball, Anthony Ming, Bryan Loyd, and Brandon Loyd.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
