Charles Ray Douglas, 79, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 in Fort Smith. He was born November 9, 1945 in Charleston to the late Ray and Agnes (Nicely) Douglas. Charles taught and coached at Paris and Hartford High Schools. He loved his family, friends, and his students. He never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice McFerran.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pam Douglas of the home; two daughters, Shelli Douglas of Fort Smith, and Chrissie Moellers of Rogers; a son, Jacob Shepard of Missouri; a brother-in-law, Kenneth McFerran of Charleston; two cats, Garfunkel and Graysen; and many beloved friends.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
