Chuck was born on December 14, 1961 to Charles and Margaret (Bell) Porter in Hammond, Indiana and graduated from Mountain Iron High School in Mountain Iron, Minnesota in 1980. In 1981, he met the love of his life, Sheila Yarbrough. They wed in 1982, going on to have two children, Charles and Alicia.
Chuck was incredibly kind, forgiving, honorable, and humble. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he would often mention. He was incredibly proud to be Papa to his only grandchild, Lilah Peerson.
Chuck was passionate about hunting and fishing, SyFy originals, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and Mega Stuft Oreos. When he wasn’t at home, you could find him in his camper with his wife on an adventure.
Anyone who knew Chuck knew that he was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather that a family could ask for. Chuck was predeceased by his mother, Margaret; and a sister, Catherine Gutknecht.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila; a son, Charles; a daughter, Alicia; a son-in-law, Joshua Peerson; his granddaughter, Lilah; his father, Charles; and two sisters Patricia Trout and Janet Martin.
