Donald Lee Cowan, 70, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home. He was born April 6, 1946 in Mesa, AZ to the late Clayton and Martha Cowan. He was retired from the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Department, and served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Cowan.
He is survived by daughters, Shelly Shelton of Mounds, OK, and Laura Cornish of Van Buren; a son, Richard Cowan of Texas; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. There are no services scheduled at this time.
