

Eldon Ritcheson, 68, of Kibler, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his home. He was born May 6, 1949 in Fort Smith to the late Eulis and Wilma Ritcheson. He was a retired welder for Rheem Mfg., and a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 42 in Alma. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a pilot, and loved to hunt, fish, and ride motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie.
He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Ritcheson of Fort Smith; two sons, Brian Ritcheson of Kibler, and David Howard of Oklahoma City; a sister, Sharon Wise of Little Rock; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service with Military Honors will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Brian Ritcheson, Chase Ritcheson, Preston Barker, Joe Presley, Paul Mason, and James Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be David Willhite, Mike Sallee, and Dustin Sims.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
