Ellen McGhee

Ellen McGhee, 91, of Van Buren, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 in Perryville. She was born October 14, 1926 in Fort Smith to the late Daniel and Lavada Loomis. She had retired from Allen Canning and had worked in the nursery at Faith Christian Center in Alma, and Butterfield Assembly of God in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Miller and J.C. McGhee, and a sister, Billie Jo Emmert.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Alverson and husband Wayne of Conway, and Pat Wyatt and husband Don of Nampa, ID; a son, Robert Miller and wife Lenora of Van Buren; two sisters, Judy Bain of Bentonville, and Syble Gaugh of Perryville; a brother, Daniel Loomis and wife Barbara of Lafayette, LA; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Floyd Alverson, Christopher Alverson, Mark Campbell, Colby Campbell, Zach Young, and Ryan Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Alverson, Don Wyatt, Jr. and Brad Miller.
