

Gurtie Lou Fay Taylor, 76, of Van Buren, AR, died Monday, June 4, 2012 at Sparks Hospital. She was born December 16, 1935 in Okmulgee. She was a homemaker and attended Liberty Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James (Red) Taylor, a daughter, Donna Kay Sandlin, a grandson, a great-grandson, her mother Nellie Bentley, a sister Carolyn Loaske, and a brother Sonny Dowdy.
She is survived by six daughters, Janice Hagler and husband Steve of Watts, OK, JoAnn Taylor of Atlanta, GA, Diane Crims and husband Calvin of Mountainburg, AR, Wanda Gragg and husband Roger of Van Buren, AR, Linda Marston and husband Kenny of Van Buren, AR, and Patsy Ellifritz and husband Kerry of Dillsburg, PA; two sons, James Taylor of Van Buren, AR and Dennis Taylor of Fort Smith. She has sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three sisters, Peggy Davis, Mary McClain and Alta Mullen all of Van Buren, AR; three brothers, Leon Bentley of Van Buren, AR, John Bentley of Arkoma, OK and Bobby Bentley of Mountainburg, AR.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren, AR with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Taylor, Kenny Marston, Kerry Ellifritz, Roger Gragg, Michael Ellifritz, and Calvin Crims. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt House and Tyler Seth.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
