Harold William McKown

Harold William McKown, 84, of Van Buren, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 1, 2024 at his home. He was born January 14, 1939 in Fort Smith to the late Joe and Frankie (Rausch) McKown. He served in the Arkansas National Guard for over 25 years, and worked in real estate.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara McKown; and his son, Brad McKown.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Karen McKown of Fort Smith; two grandsons, Matthew McKown and wife Rachel of Little Rock, and Austin McKown and wife Tamara of Van Buren; and three great-grandchildren, Liam McKown, Vivian McKown, and Lucas McKown, with a great-grandson, Ledger, on the way.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Matthew McKown, Austin McKown, Gary Medlock, Donnie Kendrick, Harold Smith, and Charles Morland.

The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the funeral home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
