

Jeanette Willmon passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, surrounded by her family, at the age of 85. She was married to James Willmon for nearly 64 years, and together they raised two children, Perry Willmon and Leasa Schack. She was the proud grandmother of Christina Thurman, Justin Featherston, and Jamie Davis, and great-grandmother to Katelyn and Bryson Thurman and Chloe and Trey Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Shirley Kizer; her brother, Sam Kizer, and her sisters, Mary Southern, Glenda Sue Scarbrough, and Joyce Kizer. She was a lifelong Elvis Presley fan, known to crank up the volume when her favorite songs came on. Her family will miss her dearly and remember her every time they hear an Elvis song, with love and a smile.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, James Willmon of Mulberry; her son, Perry Willmon of Mulberry; her daughter, Leasa (Chris) Schack of Cabot; her grandchildren, Christina (Bryan) Thurman of Conway, Justin Featherston of Austin, Arkansas, and Jamie (Chad Jr.) Davis of Reed Springs, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Bryson Thurman of Conway, and Chloe and Trey Davis of Reed Springs, Missouri; her sister, Shirley Smither and husband Fred of Mulberry; her brothers, Bob Kizer and wife Elaine of Burlington, Kentucky, and Leroy Kizer and wife Wilma of Mulberry; her sisters-in-law, Jeri Kizer of Alma, Darlene Bratton of Mulberry, and Sandy Willmon of Brooksville, Florida; her brothers-in-law, Dale Southern of Mulberry, and Robert Bratton of Lamar, Missouri; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Mulberry First Baptist Church followed by burial at New Mulberry Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will include Justin Featherston, Bryan Thurman, Chad Davis Jr., Fred Smither Jr., TJ Smither, and Jeremy Kizer. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Davis and Bryson Thurman. In her spirit, the family suggests you listen to a little Elvis and hug your loved ones tight.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
