

Jimmy Dale Bryant, 85, of Kibler, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 at his home. He was born December 24, 1940 in Fort Smith to the late James and Wanda (Gooch) Bryant. He was a 1958 graduate of Van Buren High School where he played football and basketball for Coach Clair Bates. He then went on to Arkansas Tech where he played football for the Wonder Boys and graduated in 1962. He served with the 188th Air National Guard. Jimmy was a farmer and the owner of Bryant Farm & Greenhouse, and was awarded the Crawford County Farm Family of Year in 2003. He was a Board Member for the Van Buren Boys Club and coached in the Kibler/Oak Grove area. He became an ordained deacon in 1981 at Kibler Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher and on the Youth Committee. He also served as deacon at Concord Baptist Church, again assuming roles as a Sunday School teacher and serving on various committees.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Jackson and Jo Ellen Routh.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Bryant of the home; a son, Kevin Bryant of Kansas City; a sister, Janet Rutherford of Kibler; two grandchildren, Lauren Dunn and Austin Bryant; and three great-grandchildren, Boston, Briggs, and Blakely Dunn.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
