Jimmy Pursell, 77, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Fort Smith. He was born August 12, 1943 in Fort Smith to Charley and Tosie Pursell. He was a retired minister, and the owner/operator of a fence company. He sang and recorded music locally, and was an accomplished salesman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marlene Pfeifer; and a nephew, T.J. Seftner.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary of the home; two sons, Wade Pursell and wife Tracy of Denver, and Randy Pursell of Fayetteville; two sisters, Barbara Seftner and husband John of Van Buren, and Sharon Day of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Tanner Pursell of Fayetteville, and Joshua and Lindsey Pursell of Denver; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be John Johnson, David Johnson, Josh Pursell, Tanner Pursell, Bryan Dodson, and Brian Redding.
Viewing will be 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
