John Charles Hickey, 72, of Van Buren, AR, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 in his home. He was born November 13, 1939 in Alma, AR to Fay and Josie Hickey. He was a retired iron worker and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Hickey of the home; three daughters, Bonita Bullard of CA, Tina Marie Forillo of TX, and Connie Tilton of TX; two sons, Larry Hickey of CA, and Fay Dean Hickey of TX; a granddaughter, Belinda D. (Pinky) Hass of the home; two sisters, Jeanette Flippin and Pamela Hickey both of Van Buren; two brothers William Hickey of TX, and Clayton Hickey of Natural Dam; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Sarah Grove Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Hickey, Darrell Allen Hickey, Michael Harris, Lyle Harris, Eric Harris, and Timmy Hickey.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
