Joseph Lloyd Tarmey Sr., 78, of Ozark, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 in Fort Smith. He was born March 11, 1947 in Rochester, NH to the late Philip and Helen (Glidden) Tarmey. He was the owner/operator of JL Tarmey and Son Inc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marc Tarmey.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Tarmey of the home; a daughter, Kristina Sherman and husband Robert of East Bridgewater, MA; a son, Joseph Tarmey, Jr. and wife Lisa of Mulberry; a sister, Donna Gillespie and husband Jerry of Florida; a brother, Michael Tarmey and wife Donna of Rochester, NH; seven grandchildren, Asa Tarmey, Zachary Tarmey (Sharnette), Jonathan Wagner, Kevin Barth, Timothy Sherman, Natalie Rice (Derek), and Raelynn Avey; and one great-grandchild, Ava Tarmey.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
