Linda Simpson, 64, of Central City, died Monday, May 6, 2013, in a local hospital. She was born September 25, 1948 in Fort Smith to the late W.E. and Wilma Edmondson. She was a bank teller for First National Bank in Lavaca. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, A.J. Shelly.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Simpson of the home; a daughter, Kellie Shelly and husband Jamie of Central City; a son, Shannon Simpson and wife Tami of Central City; a sister, Judy Henry and husband Bill of Houston, TX; a mother-in-law, Oleta Chamberlain of Barling; a sister-in-law Debbie Gann and husband R.D. of Alma; a brother-in-law, Harold Simpson of Mena; two grandchildren, Levi and Ali Simpson; and two nieces, Rolana Lee and Rochelle Gann.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at First Southern Baptist Church of Central City.
Mrs. Simpson will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
