Lonnie Joe Richesin

Lonnie Joe Richesin, 71, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at his home. He was born June 12, 1952 in Van Buren to the late Lawrence and Norma Ruth (Tipton) Richesin. He was retired from Rheem, and was a member of First Assembly of God in Van Buren for 40 years. He raised cattle, and did appliance sales and repairs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and James Richesin.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Darlene Richesin of the home; two sons, Andy Joe Richesin and Allen Dewayne Richesin, both of Van Buren; a sister, Diana Ruth Jones of Van Buren; two brothers, Marvin Richesin of Van Buren, and Jackie Richesin of Kibler; four grandchildren, Allison Richesin and Andrew Richesin both of Jacksonville, AR, and Blake Richesin and Reagan Richesin, both of Van Buren; and two great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Turner and Marlee Swift, both of Jacksonville.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Richesin, Rusty Price, Clay Strawhacker, Ronnie Bankston, Marty Ray, Keith Drum, and Art Floyd. Honorary pallbearers are James Tobey and Dennis Lambert.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
