Louise Peters

Louise Peters, 75, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born July 19, 1947 in Mulberry to the late Carl and Juanita (Blevins) Brownlee. She was a retired phone operator for Southwestern Bell, and loved reading, fishing, and glassware.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents, Clarence and Una Brownlee, and Troy and Callie Blevins.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen Grist and husband Larry of Van Buren; a grandson, Christopher Grist and wife Britany of Uniontown; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Keltner and Connor Grist; a grand-dog, Rango; her lifelong best friend, Linda Martindale; her ex-husband and love of her life, Jr. Peters; and cousins, Pat Cox, Darrell Blevins, and Joe Blevins.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Gary O’Kelley, Dana O’Kelley, Larry Grist, Christopher Grist, and Garry Frederick.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
