

Manuel Valente, 64, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2020 in Fort Smith. He was born May 20, 1956 in Morelia, Mexico to Ezequiel and Maria Valente. He had worked for Tyson Foods, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa of the home; four daughters, Anahi Castaneda, Dana Valente, and Maria Rodriguez, all of Van Buren, and Candy Valente of the home; three sons, Azael Valente and Manual Valente, both of Van Buren, and Andrew Valente of the home; three sisters, Alicia Valente, Maria Valente, and Catalina Valente, all of Mexico; three brothers, Guadalupe Valente of Mexico, and Jose Valente and Gabriel Valente, both of California; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Manuel Valente, Jr., Walter Castaneda, Sinue Rodriguez, Kerin Pineda, Ricardo Pineda, and Pedro Rodriguez.
Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
