Margie McCormick Payton, 70, of Chester, AR, died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in her home. She was May 30, 1942 in Antlers, Oklahoma. She was a retired cook at Silverbridge Truckstop and Auto Plaza.
She is survived by a daughter, Melody Deaton of Fayetteville, AR; a son, Tony McCormick of Chester, AR; three sisters, Clora Schriver of Van Buren, AR, Shirley Watkins of Chester, AR and Jane Key of Van Buren, AR; a brother, Jim Watson of Van Buren, AR; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Payton will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
