Martha Mae Flurry

Martha Mae Flurry, 86, of Van Buren, passed away peacefully Monday, March 2, 2026. She was born August 13, 1939 in Centralia, IL. Martha dedicated her life to her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a generous heart and found joy in caring for others. She loved making crafts and giving them to friends and family. She would always help and care for her neighbors. She loved serving in her church and spending time with her family and friends. Martha especially enjoyed singing and sharing her warmth and kindness with everyone around her. Her legacy of love, faith and devotion to family will live on in all who knew her.

Martha was proceeded in death by her mother, Dorothy Reynolds; and her brother, Howard Richards.

She is survived by her husband, Sammy Flurry; children, Shane McVay, Jane Jones, Joyce Kilane, Teresa Burt and husband Bill, and Michael Pemberton and wife Amanda; her grandchildren, Cortney Maylen, Michael Flurry, Eric Merrell, Haleigh Flurry, Randi Fritsche, Morgan Abram, Mason Flurry, Chandler Pemberton, Ryleigh Pemberton, Scarlett Burt, Ava Pemberton, and Harper Pemberton, as well as, twelve cherished great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2026 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Michael Pemberton, Chandler Pemberton, Michael Flurry, Eric Merrell, Nick Fritsche, and Dakota Abram.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
