

Mary Malinda "Lin" Pounder, 61, of Mountainburg, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her home. She was born July 28, 1956 in Riverside, CA. She was the owner/operator of Cross Stitch Treasures, a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mountainburg, and served in the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Rhoden; and niece and nephew, Melissa Gribling and Jeremiah Gross.
She was survived by her husband, Al Pounder, who passed days later; her father, Dale Puff and wife Leona of Fort Wayne, IN; three sisters, Lela McClain of Alma, Terrie Gross and husband Mark of La Grande, OR, and Deidre Collins and husband Keith of Kentucky; a brother, Dale Puff and wife Rebecca of North Carolina; nieces, Christeallia and Rebekah Amorosi; and nephews, Joshua Gross, and Matt, Mark, and Rudy Tabarez.
A family-hosted memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mountainburg. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
She was named after her two grandmothers, Mary Curtis and Malinda Puff, to honor both of them. She was very active during her lifespan. She pursued intellectual accomplishments but lacked in depth social development. She had nimble dexterity of her hands and developed cross stitching to a professional desire. As time progressed she developed cross stitching supplies into a small company. In providing direct sale of cross stitching supplies to people with the same desires, as growth and customer desire increased she stocked and ordered for any person who wanted a larger selection.
