Mrs. Myrtle V. Huff Parmenter

Myrtle V. Parmenter, 84, of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Thursday, September 23, 2010. She was born October 5, 1925 in Alma, Arkansas. She was retired from Haven O’Rest Nursing Home in Van Buren and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parmenter and four sons, Buddy Parmenter, Sonny Parmenter, Bud Parmenter, and Gary Parmenter. She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Jones and her husband, William of Chester, AR, Dorothy Belcher and her husband, Merle of Van Buren, AR, and Betty Holdbrook and her husband, Dewey of Fort Smith, AR; one son, Curtis Parmenter and his wife, Ann of Fort Smith, AR; three daughter-in-laws, Evelyn Mayfield of Van Buren, AR, Sue Parmenter of Cedarville, AR, and Annie Parmenter of Chester, AR; 22 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 27, 2010 at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Junior, James, Ray, Sambo, Robert, Keith, Kenny, and Eric Parmenter, Bill and David Belcher, and Willie Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons.
