Norman Anthony Warren, 65, of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at his home. He was born June 11, 1958 in Van Buren to the late Norman Warren and Audrie Jean (Pernell) Dameron. He lived in this area most of his life but really enjoyed the time he spent in California. Tony will be greatly missed by his large and loving family.
Tony was quite a character, living a full life, hard and fast, finding trouble without even looking for it. He grew up in difficult circumstances without the support he needed but he wanted to do better than he did. He had been employed as a backhoe operator and a semi-truck driver. He loved his motorcycle, his truck and NASCAR. He was a daredevil on anything that moved, especially if it had wheels. He enjoyed TV shows, old movies and reading westerns. He loved and admired Native American heritage and culture. He was a good handyman, was very creative and was a great artist who loved to draw. Tony was an entertaining storyteller even if he had to make part of it up. He had a charming smile and a great laugh.
Tony knew God and tried to be a better person and we are all thankful that none of us can earn our way into heaven, it is a free gift from Jesus. We pray Tony is at peace, pestering the angels and whooping it up with his mom and dad, his nanny and his uncle Dale. Tony is gone from us too soon; he will be missed and his memory cherished. You can honor his memory by loving yourself and others, being creative, finding an adventure and living loud. Life is short, live it well.
He leaves behind his children, Norman Warren Jr. (Lori), Matthew Warren (Katherine), Michael Warren, Mandy Dority (Ricky), Kyle Warren, Kelsey Warren, and Bryan Warren; siblings, Sonya Little, Eddie Warren, Michele Dameron Eversole, Audra Dameron Taylor, Juanita Fryar, and Christy Taylor; ten grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews; his Aunt Sheila Parochka (John); numerous cousins and many friends.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. There are no services scheduled at this time.
