

Phillis Roger Pixley DeWitt, 74, of Mulberry, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014. She was born November 5, 1939 in Oklahoma to the late W.B. and Gladys Hance. She was a homemaker. She was known as Nana by many. She loved the Lord and her family. She spent many hours talking with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buell Ray DeWitt; a daughter, Sherry Pixley, and three great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty Johnson of Alma, and Kathi Brown and husband Donald of Alma; two sons, Bobby Pixley, Jr. and Phillip Pixley, both of Mulberry; four sisters, Joy Boyce of Oklahoma, Patsy Brammer of Rudy, Louise Peters of Alma, and Muriel Suggs of Van Buren; a brother, Dub Hance of Bentonville; nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Pope Cemetery in the Graphic Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Daniel McDonnor, Steve Watkins, Gavin Watkins, Jeremy Walker, Duane Rye, and Jake Pixley. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
