

Reva Louise Ferguson, 95, of Fort Smith, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. She was a faithful wife of 51 years to James Rex Ferguson. As a mother, grandmother and homemaker, she was a precious supporter of her children and grandchildren for years. She filled several roles during her 95 years that included being a friend to many and being “Reva the Riveter” during World War II. She was a member of First Baptist Church Fort Smith. She was born May 26, 1925 in Van Buren, to the late Walter and Ruth (Oliver) Moon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rex Ferguson; three sisters, Etha Hicks, Cecil Spencer, and Nellie Brodie; and two brothers, Harold Moon and Hubert Moon.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Howard and husband Mose of Kingston, New York, and Linda Spears of Rogers; a son, David Ferguson and wife Suzy of Alma; four granddaughters, Julie Steele, Kristin Wagner, Katelyn Ferguson, and Kelby Taylor; two grandsons, Ryan Howard and Brent Howard; three great-granddaughters, Emily Arnold, Bailey Steele, and Serena Howard; a great-grandson, Tyler Howard; and a great-great-grandson, Easton Arnold.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020 at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be David Ferguson, Steven Wagner, Paxton Taylor, Jason Steele, and Orry Arnold.
Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
