Rosenda Monterroza

Rosenda Monterroza, 73, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Fort Smith. She was born October 6, 1951 in Metapán, El Salvador to the late Manuel de Jesus Monterroza and Rosa Amelia Recinos de Monterroza. She had worked for Tyson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rinaldo Monterroza; and a sister, Sara Calderon.

She is survived by her husband, Antonio Martinez of the home; three sisters, Maria O. Monterroza, Elisbet Monterroza, and Rosa D. Monterroza; seven brothers, Eliseo Monterroza, Benjamin Monterroza, Antonio Monterroza, Neri A. Monterroza, Angel M. Monterroza, Andres Monterroza, and Jose H. Monterroza; and four grandchildren, Isabella Marie Robinson Monterroza, Jacob Diego Monterroza, Andrew Dylan Monterroza, and Lilah Rose Monterroza.

Funeral service will be 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Iglesia Bautista Hispana Getsemani with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Viewing will begin 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 at Iglesia Bautista Hispana Getsemani, 300 S 17th Street in Van Buren.
