

Roy Eugene “Bear” Black, 40, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Greenwood. He was born June 17, 1975 in Fort Smith. He was a self-employed welder, and worked for Action, Inc. in Barling. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved riding horses and motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Gene Black.
He is survived by a daughter, Emily Jolene Black of Panama; two sons, Michael and Brayden Black of Panama; his mother, Carrie Black of Bokoshe, OK; his grandmother, Margaret Pritchard of Westfork; his fiancé, Tonya Ainsworth of the home; and her four daughters, Hailey Reves of the home, Aleah Reves of Fort Smith, Temper Ainsworth of Greenwood, and Shay Ainsworth of Hackett; and her three grandchildren; two sisters, Deanne Landis and husband Bill of Paris, and Marian Jones and husband Nate of Maysville, NC; a brother, Donavan Black of Fort Smith; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at Victory Worship Center in Spiro with interment at Blackburn Cemetery near Winslow, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Butch Drain, Travis Tilley, Shannon Joe Tilley, Kendell Laymon, Tyler Arnold, Chad Lamb, Kelly Self, and Chris Dotson. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Dotson, Carl Call, Carlus Call, Ricky Blair, Ron Eatmon, Laney Woods, Jason Buckley.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
