Teresa Jo Hawthorne, 67, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026. She was born January 15, 1959 in Butler County, Kansas to the late Jerry Lee and Geneva (Greenwood) Pond. She was retired from the State of Arkansas, and had been a CASA advocate for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeremiah Hawthorne.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Hawthorne of Van Buren; two daughters, Erica Lynn Holland of Van Buren, and Lacey Lazos of Greenwood; a son, Jacob Hawthorne of Langley, British Columbia; three sisters, Sandra Bernstein of Lancaster, California, Terri Pond, and Sheryle Pond-Parks of Wichita, Kansas; twelve grandchildren; and nieces and nephew, Jennifer Oliver of Van Buren, Kimberly Qualle of Ozark, and Michael Goodwin.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
