Tommy Allen Roberts

Tommy Roberts, 49, of Van Buren, Arkansas, went to be with his heavenly father Monday, December 20, 2010 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born January 28, 1961 in Forest City, Arkansas. He taught for 27 years at Van Buren High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Roberts and his maternal grandfather, Walter Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Roberts of the home; one daughter, Talisha Oliver of Van Buren, AR; two sons, Travis Dean Jones Roberts of Van Buren, AR and Tristian Holden Roberts of the home; his mother and step-father, Bannie and Cecil Meggs of Palestine, AR; maternal grandmother, Ola Estel Hill of Palestine, AR; five sisters, Betty Reeves of Forest City, AR, Sharon Bradley of Conway, AR, Chelly Meggs of Palestine, AR, Crissy Drake of Stamps, AR, and Ronda Roberts of Palestine, AR; four brothers, Mike Roberts of Searcy, AR, Chip Meggs of Searcy, AR, Stevie Roberts, Palestine, AR, and Dennis Roberts of Wynne, AR; three grandchildren, Zayne Oliver, Taylor Sue Roberts, and Camden Tyler Brock.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Butterfield Assembly of God Church in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Randy Loyd, Mike Lee, Andy Williams, Gary Deffenbaugh, Myron Heckman, Chris Bryant, Quincy Coleman, Vestal Carter, Dale Mann, Eddie Tipton, and Kevin Tipton.

Honorary pallbearers will be his school family, Van Buren High School Basketball Players and Football Players.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma hwy, Van Buren, AR.
