Tony Zimmerman

Tony Zimmerman, 51, of Woodville, AL, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 in Huntsville, AL. He was born September 2, 1970 in Opelousas, LA to the late Fred and Polly (Grantham) Zimmerman. He was called to preach at the age of 17 and began pastoring at Gateway Tabernacle in November 2018. He was a devoted husband, father, pastor, and comedian.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry of the home; three daughters, Lauren Zimmerman and Abigail Zimmerman, both of Abbeville, LA, and Ashlyn Schrader and husband Nick of Bridgeport, AL; two sons, Brylie Zimmerman of Ozark, and Derek Pete of Hollywood, AL; a brother, Keith Zimmerman and wife Brenda of Alma; and two grandchildren, Annalynn Pete and Kasey Schrader.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. at the Truth Tabernacle Church in Ozark with interment to follow at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Derek Pete, Nick Schrader, Wesley Zimmerman, Scooter Zimmerman, Lee Wright, and Allen Fontenot.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
