Dominga Hernandez, affectionately known as “Minga”, “Mami”, “Tita”, “Abuela” was born on December 20, 1924, in Choloma, Cortes in Honduras. She was a young single mother to 4 children, 1 boy and three girls. Minga was a grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She cherished her family and shared many childhood memories of her love towards all her grandchildren.

Minga was known for her friendly demeaner and always willing to help if she had the opportunity. She would love to tell you stories about her family and friends, stories of her cooking tamales and selling chica in Honduras.

Minga enjoyed listening to music, especially music from Los Bukis, Los Temerarios y Juan Gabriel. She would spend hours in front of the radio listening to music. She mostly enjoyed talking to those that came to visit her and enjoyed a laugh together.

As we gather to honor Dominga’s life and legacy, let us celebrate the profound impact she made on our lives and the countless memories that live forever in our hearts.

Dominga Hernández, cariñosamente conocida como "Minga", "Mami", "Tita", "Abuela", nació el 20 de Diciembre de 1924 en Choloma, Cortés, Honduras. Fue una joven madre soltera de 4 hijos, 1 niño y tres niñas. Minga fue abuela de 11 nietos y 27 bisnietos. Ella valoraba profundamente a su familia y compartía muchos recuerdos de su infancia y su amor hacia todos sus nietos.

Minga era conocida por su actitud amigable y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar si tenía la oportunidad. Le encantaba contar historias sobre su familia y amigos, historias sobre cómo cocinaba tamales y vendía chicha en Honduras.

Minga disfrutaba de escuchar música, especialmente la música de Los Bukis, Los Temerarios y Juan Gabriel. Pasaba horas frente al radio escuchando música. Sobre todo, disfrutaba conversar con quienes la visitaban y compartir una risa juntos.

Al reunirnos para honrar la vida y el legado de Dominga, celebremos el profundo impacto que tuvo en nuestras vidas y los incontables recuerdos que vivirán para siempre en nuestros corazones.
