Arvanitis, Afroditi, born on May 6, 1920 in Hora, Messinias, Greece. Passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018 in Vancouver, B.C. in the presence of her loving family. Sadly missed by sons Andreas and wife Eleni, Kostas and wife Dina, Saki and wife Thelma. Daughters Sophie and husband Chris, Toula and husband Nico. Afroditi will also be missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her loving husband Dimitrios in 2009. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at St. George's Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4500 Arbutus Street, Vancouver, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10 at 11:00 a.m. Father Constantinos Economos officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
