Bernice Huestis Hayes

Mary "Bernice" Hayes passed away peacefully on January 5, 2014 at the age of 90

years in the Palliative Care Unit of Vancouver General Hospital with family and friend

at her side. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur, several brothers and sisters.

Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her sister Maxine and brother-in-law Joe Hurley

of Truro, NS., nephews and nieces and their families too numerous to list as well as

many, many friends.

Bernice loved to garden and loved her views of Kits Beach and English Bay. She amazed all

who knew her with her boundless energy and optimism.

Memorial Service at Canadian Memorial United Church, 1825 W. 16th Ave., Vancouver

BC, to be held late May. Date and Time will be announced as well as a Celebration of

Bernice's Life in Kitsilano.

Donations to the Charity of one's choice or to V.G.H. Foundation stating "Palliative

Care Unit".
