I am so honoured to have worked with Danny while he attended Nootka Elementary School.  We had a lot of good times together and he taught me a lot as a support worker.  My thoughts and prays are with Danny's parents and his brother.

I will always remember his big, beautiful smile, his sense of humor, his kindness, the way he could identify a car when we were out for a walk just by the sound of it and the way his face would light up when he had some exciting news to share. My deepest condolences goes out to you all. I never got the chance to meet Danny but my son was a classmate of his and hearing the loss of such a beautiful young soul has saddened me.

Danny was one of the most unexpected pleasures I’ve ever had the chance to be around. When originally meeting Danny I never thought it was me who would learn more from him than vice versa. I admired his strength, his grit, his overall outlook on life, as well as shared his competitive nature… this was not a dude who liked to lose. He truly took pride in everything that he did. Yet regardless of the result, he’d always manage to find that absolutely vibrant smile of his. No matter the circumstance, Danny always found a way to spin in it into a positive manner. I will hold the life lessons he’s taught me very close and dear to my heart. 

To the Tran’s, 
You did a phenomenal job at raising such a caring, mindful and polite young man. I’m forever grateful to you for allowing me the opportunity to spend time with your son. He truly was a one of kind person & friend. 

You won Danny boy and I’m so damn proud of you!

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Danny . I first met Danny several years ago when he started to come to Canuck Place . Danny was shy at first until he began to feel more comfortable and gain trust with all the the staff . Over the years Danny began to open up to us as we started to get to know Danny more and more. His sense of humour and smile were infectious to all . He really started to enjoy playing pranks on the staff as well we staff enjoyed teasing him as well . This past year was really enjoyable as Danny often talked about graduating. To see him light up when he was speaking about graduating was really nice to see and we all were very proud of his accomplishments. Finally to my friend Danny , so many people including myself are incredibly lucky and fortunate to have crossed paths with you in our lifetime. We all are better people for you being in our life. Rest In Peace my friend , and until we meet again . Keep smiling Danny ❤️❤️❤️

He will be missed and may the memories you shared with him bring you all strength.  He will truly be missed and forever remembered.  My condolences to the family. My condolences to the Tran family.   Danny was on my school route for most of his high school days, he was always very polite and respectful.   It was a shock to hear this sad news as Danny was on the bus the morning before in his normal pleasant manner.   Take the time to hug a loved one as you just never know.   Raise a glass, to Danny.

I remember Danny from summer camp, he was only 10. He was funny and had this contagious laugh. He also had the ability to bring children together and create a sense of unity among campers. He was an unforgettable individual. My deepest condolences to Danny’s family and friends.

Dear Family, 

My name is Bonny and I worked with Danny at Hillcrest Centre when he was about 10-12 years old. He always had such a good energy, brought so much life to the camp, and was impossible to forget. I live in a different country now and for some reason today, I decided to search for him on Google, and I found this news, which I am so, so sorry to hear. I think though, it goes to show how greatly Danny impacted those around him and that the memories he made with those around him have remained with us. Thank you Danny for everything you taught us. You will not be forgotten. My greatest condolences to the family. I remember you were so supportive of Danny and I know you did everything you could for him.
