Deanna Elaine Estelle Gougis

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Deanna Elaine Estelle Gougis (nee: Newman) on November 23, 2025. Deanna was born to her father Walter Ryan Newman and late mother Deborah Coleman on August 25, 1975 in Squamish, BC. She attended Brackendale Elementary School. Deanna liked to watch crime shows and followed police politics. One of her favourite hobbies was karaoke. She loved to sing and dance. She will best be remembered for her kind heart. She was always helping people, whether it was with their addictions or mental health. Deanna was always willing to lend a helping hand up. She was tough, protective, and had a strong belief system. She loved her family and friends fiercely.

Deanna will be dearly missed by her father Walter Ryan Newman; children Evan Newman, Trevon Gougis Newman (Tatiana), Sarah Gougis Newman; grandchildren Noah Gougis Newman, Ronald Gougis Newman, Callum Gougis Newman, Ryder Gougis Newman, Aurora-Rose Gougis Newman; siblings Jacob Newman, Keon Coleman, Terrance Bo Baker; nephews Ethan Newman, Uri Newman, and many loving aunties, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives, and dear friends.
