It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the patriarch of our family, Dimitri on September 29, 2017. Born and raised in Kavala, Greece, he lived in Germany and finally settled in Vancouver, BC. Predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Eleni, he is survived by his son Bobby (Fairbanks, Alaska) and daughter Rena (Vancouver, BC), and many loving nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends in Vancouver, Greece, and Alaska where he divided his time. Prayer service for Dimitri will be held Monday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Georges Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4500 Arbutus St, Vancouver, BC. As per his wish, he will be buried in Greece alongside his loving wife Eleni. Dimitri had a wonderful presence in his community and in that spirit and his honour, a fund for his memorial will be established. Please contact the family once details are finalized.
