Dorcas Lai Yu Lum

Dorcas Lai Yu Lum was born in Hong Kong and made Vancouver her cherished home for most of her life. She passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Dorcas was a woman whose kindness and radiant smile touched everyone she met. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and helping others, always offering warmth, generosity, and encouragement to those around her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones—especially her three beloved grandsons, Jaden, Kalen, and Lucas—whose laughter and love brought her endless happiness.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Jung Lun (Alan); her daughters, Melinda and Decelia; her sons-in-law, Jimmy and Hubert; and her grandsons, Jaden, Kalen, and Lucas. Her gentle spirit and caring heart will continue to live on through them and through all the lives she touched.

Dorcas will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her love, kindness, and the light she brought into the world.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 20th, 2025 at 11:00 am at Fraser Lands Church, 3330 SE Marine Drive, Vancouver, BC.
