Evangelia Afendoulis

With heavy hearts and in loving memory we announce the passing of our mother, wife and grandmother, Evangelia (Evangelitsa) Afendoulis (Tsoutsis) who passed away on Marh 6, 2026 at Vancouver General Hospital at the age of 91.

She is predeceased by her husband, George Afendoulis, brothers Christos Tsoutsis, Thanasis Tsoutsis and sister Athena Loukas.

She is survived by her brothers George (Vancouver) and Sotiris (Greece) and many nieces and nephews.

She also leaves behind her beloved daughter, Georgia, sons Tony (Debbie), Andy and her grandchildren Adam and Stella who she loved very much and brought her joy and laughter.

Evangelia was born in a mountainous village called Malouni in Epirus, Greece on January 20, 1935. She left Greece and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada to start a new better life and to join her sister, Athena and brother in-law Fotios and brother George.

In 1965 she met and married her husband George, and they later started a family of their own.

Evangelia was a strong woman who could handle anything that life brought her. She always put others before herself and she enjoyed cooking and having family together to share delicious meals together. She also enjoyed gardening. She was a kind, sensitive person who cared about others. She was also a regular at a senior’s program at weadcc where she is very much missed.

We will miss our mother very much and hold her close in our hearts forever.
