Dear Rose, Lee-Ann and Terry

It is with a sad heart that I write this but also a joy of having found my dear cousin George. Although it has only been a few years since I got to know you all but it has been very special for me to get to know you.

George was such a loving, kind, generous man and much loved by his family.   Ian and I felt very welcome in your home in 2019 and I am forever grateful to him for doing his DNA to help me find who my father was.

This past year was a difficult one for you all with George's health and managing his care during Covid but he was blessed to have the constant love and support of you all.  I am sure you will miss him greatly.

Thank you for embracing us in your family and wishing you peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sadness. I can't imagine how you are feeling at the moment but we are always here if you want to talk.

George is a wonderful man, a great husband, an awesome father, and the neighbour that one wishes to have.  

We are grateful for having George and his family as our neighbours and showing us what positive influences one can have on their neighbours with caring small talks and friendly greetings.

We lost the best neighbour one could have ever asked for.. but the his caring and teachings will forever remain...

George was a funny guy to me. Remembering him  every visit. He would cracked some jokes that will make my day going. One night before he will go to bed, I would ask him if I  could take his eyeglaases out and other stuff. He would tell me, why are you taking everything away  from me. And he will make me laugh out loud.  I would remember him as such a nice man. May his soul rest in peace.

With sincerest condolences.  
George was a wonderful man with such a calm and gentle soul.  I shall not forget the time I came to visit George and Rosie while Lee Ann and Terry were camping one summer.  I had such a lovely evening.   I can also picture George at the stove watching over a Thanksgiving dinner which I was so graciously invited to.  Hold dear to your hearts the fond memories you each have of a loving husband and father.

George Muirhead was my second cousin whom I connected with via a link in Ancestry.com. George's Grandfather was my Maternal Grandmother's Brother the family were of Scottish Lineage. George's Father John emigrated to Canada in 1920 and married and had 3 children one of whom was George. 

I have been lucky enough to speak to them via Video call especially on George's 90th birthday. A lovely family who were totally dedicated to George's care and welfare.

We are very sad to hear of uncle George's passing. We know he will be missed by all the family but especially aunty Rosalind. We always enjoyed our visits with them.

I am saddened to hear about George's passing. I have known him since 1979, through his son Terry. George was always kind to me, a friendly host when I was in the Muirhead house. He was always cheerful & I rarely saw him angry. A real nice fella!

I will always remember Mr. George Muirhead as one of our favorite clients in the bank.  His stories about the family adventures in the island each summer was always something to look forward to.

We're so sorry for your loss!  Be strong and cherish all your memories during this difficult time. 

George was a man of few words but so friendly. Always one of the first people to welcome us and ready to chat every time we went for a visit.

What we're going to miss was his quirky sense of humor. We had the best banters with him and  would always leave laughing.

He was always challenging us to races around the block. Ready to give us a head start. That was the only way we could win and he was right. Plus offering to give us a lift on his walker. Fearing he'd go over the sidewalk speed limit, we didn't take him up on it.  

It's those little moments that we'll always hold close to our hearts. He was such a bright light and will definitely be missed!

Here is a gentleman of great interests. Riding my tour bus to hear my knowledge of local history. It's been years since visiting the friendly Muirhead family, My condolences are with you.
