RICHTER, Greta Rose, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025 in Vancouver. Greta is survived by her loving family, children Corinne Bucher (Benno) and Lyle Richter, grandchildren Dylan and Annelise Bucher, stepdaughters Karin Smith (Stan), Marilyn Peters (Ron) and Val Halverson and stepsons Edward Halverson (Aki), Rob Halverson (Rhina) and David Halverson (Brenda) and 10 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving stepsister Louise Berg. Predeceased by husbands Robert Richter and Vern Halverson and twin brother Eric Mellander.
Greta enjoyed travelling, gardening, exercising, pencil colouring, and playing games with family & friends, especially Rummy Tile. She spent many memorable years at Kerrisdale Seniors Centre, playing Mahjong, exercising, the walking club, dancing and volunteering.
Special thanks to Amica Arbutus Manor and St. Jude’s Anglican Home for the care she received. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
