Gwendolyn (Gwen) Doreen Matthew, age 76, of Vancouver passed away on Thursday, January 18th after four years of struggling with dementia. She is survived by her children, Jeremy and Jessica. She had a passion for arts and culture, and we will miss the colourfully illustrated drawings of hers that would fill every birthday and holiday card. She loved to travel, especially with her husband Rob, who passed away in 2017, also from dementia. Always kind, caring, and understanding, she added colour to every room, in all senses of the word.
Gwen’s burial will be at 10:00 am on Monday, February 5th, 2024 at Pacific Heritage Cemetery, 4305 Halifax Street, Burnaby, British Columbia.
Donations can be sent to the Haro Park Centre care home in Vancouver, BC, as thanks for all of the smiles she gave while she stayed there.
