It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hugh Alexander (Sander) Matheson: Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Hugh (Sander) was born in East Branch, Pictou County, Nova Scotia on February 11, 1937, the oldest of six children. He is survived by his wife Janette; two sons Allan (Shelley) and Robert; two grandsons Jordy and Cameron; three sisters Frances (Gordon), Linda (James) and Irene; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents William and MaryBelle Matheson and two brothers William and Earl Stuart (Butch). Hugh (Sander) will be remembered for his many accomplishments, but most especially for his kindness and devotion to his family and friends. He was a family man and will live on in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Cascade Gospel Chapel, 3833 Boundary Road, Vancouver, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Condolences and tributes may be sent to the family by visitingwww.mountpleasantfuneral.com.
