May 20, 1947 - July 29, 2022
I once was lost, but now I’m found. Was blind, but now I see.
Jerry James Ballantine was born on May 20, 1947 in St. Thomas, ON and passed away on July 29, 2022 in Vancouver, BC at the age of 75 years. He was lost to us over 44 years ago to mental illness and addiction. Though we had brief glimpses of his whereabouts early in his journey, it was only upon his death that we found him.
Left to wonder what might have been are his daughter Jenny Ballantine-Bouchard of Courtenay BC, and her family. Jerry is also survived by his brother Robert Ballantine of London ON and his sister Anne Ackerman (James) of Philadelphia, PA, and their families, as well as extended family. He was predeceased by his parents James and Marguerite (Andersen) Ballantine.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, Vancouver, BC, with interment at Boal Chapel and Memorial Gardens, North Vancouver BC.
