Words From the family:
Our beloved John Robin Kirk King
Mkoons (Little Bear)
March 12, 1965 - May 29, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our brother, uncle, cousin, and friend Rob.
Rob was born a proud Anishinaabe in Midland, Ontario on March 12, 1965. During his younger years he was raised both on Christian Island and the mainland of Ontario until he decided to travel to BC in 1992 to be with his family, as they had always wanted to remain close with them.
Over the years Rob never looked back and adopted Vancouver, BC and the DTES as his home where he fit in very well and adapted to the people and the environment. Rob had touched the souls of many people by being the caring, funny, kind, loving person that he was. He was a happy go lucky spirit that was always laughing and carried a big smile on his face. Rob was the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back if it meant you would be warm. Rob would do anything to make you smile and laugh if you were feeling down.
Rob was loved by many people including his biological family, friends, friends who adopted him as family which also includes those the DTES.
All of the children in Rob's life truly adored him and felt he was a kindred spirit. He felt blessed to have been able to meet his great niece and nephew just as he felt blessed to have a deep connection with all of the people that crossed his path in life, no matter their walk of life.
Rob's journey isn't over. It just happens to be continuing on into the spirit world, and wherever his journey takes him there will always be a piece of him with us. Until we meet again Rob, you will be greatly missed. We love you from the moon to the stars and the skies beyond.
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Rob is survived by his dad David Webb, siblings: Grace (Jesus) and Natalie (Bruce) Nieces and nephews: Misty, Frankie, Erik, Raymond, Amber and Sean Great niece and nephew: Heidi and Jordan. Rob is predeceased by his father Sherwood, Mother: Elaine and Siblings: Baby girl Lisa (sister) and brother Lyle
