I got to work with Joey at Home Depot from 2013 to 2018. I was never the most outgoing guy working there, but Joey would often see me, and come right
up to me and start cracking jokes, he was like a big kid, always made me feel like I was part of the group.  I always felt at ease when he was around. I can't say I knew Joey all that much on a personal level, I just know he made life working there much more enjoyable, and I think that say's so much about his character.
When I heard the news, I was shocked and saddened. I want to send my condolences to Joey's family.

I am very sad to hear the passing of my dear old friend Joey. I remember way back in the day in grade 1 when I changed schools and came to Brock Elementary, I was the new kid and was very scared and nervous. Joey was the one who came to me and instantly struck up a friendship. Made me feel welcome and at home. He also introduced me to all the other students in grade 1 and students in grade 2 as well. Because of Joey I made friends within the first 4 hours of joining Brock Elementary. I will never forget that day my friend. Rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Joey's family, what a huge loss not only to you as a family but to everyone that knew Joey. He was such a kind soul, never had a bad word to say about anyone. I am so sorry for your loss he was such a great guy.  I have worked with Joey since he started at the north surrey home depot.
He was always telling stories and he was so easy to talk to.  He was always bragging about his nieces  and I have seen many photos videos of her. 
He will be greatly missed.
The service was lovely he would be so  proud.

The last few days bee thinking what to write . I'm so heart broken 💔 and the teardont  seem to stop . The memories do being a smile and joy to the heart. The diabetes bond we only understood and compared notes . Scooby Doo were are you ? The biggest Scooby Doo fan ever .  The biggest smile I get is remembering the light that came over you when you talked about your mom and nieces there was always a story with the girls your animated voice amazing.  Your pictures and videos you were so proud to show of the girls  . Miss our talks you always found the brighter side of things and so calm. When we last chatted you said about your friends at work or shouls we say family in ways I think we spend so many hours together that we are family/ friends "I miss you all. Glad faith brought us together" . We all were praying for  you and you were in our thoughts always . Denis said he will always remeber you and mom's kindness . You will be so missed my friend Joey rest in peace . This is the hardest goodbye till we meet again . Condolences to your family especially your mom and sisters.  

Rest in Peace Joey! What a calm soul he was. Way too young to leave this world. My condolences to the family and friends.

Joey was a wonderful person.He was  always there whenever I needed any professional help.He always encouraged and motivated me.Its very sad to see him go at such a young age.
