Kapo Grace Chan 梁嘉溥

It is with great sadness that the Chan family announce the passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Kapo Grace Chan of Richmond, BC. She was born on November 12, 1939 in Guangdong Province, China and passed away peacefully at Richmond, British Columbia on December 10, 2023 at the age of 84. Our heartfelt condolences to the Chan family at this time.

Kapo Grace Chan is survived by her husband Chun Fung Chan, her three children and five grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Kapo Grace was a loving mother and wife who always placed her family above her own personal interests. Upon immigrating to Canada, she tirelessly worked for almost 30 years at the Denman Hotel, while successfully raising three rambunctious boys with her husband. She ensured her children were safe and healthy, and always encouraged their development in academics, arts, and sports. Kapo loved the arts – music, dancing, painting, photography and spent most of her retirement enjoying these activities.

Funeral Service will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10:00 am.

She will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery after the funeral service.
