Kathleen Adair Gardner

Devoted wife to Shawn Gardner. Loving mother to Nicola Martino. Adoring grandmother to Emilia and Matteo Martino. Supportive auntie to Richard and Megan Roberts.

She grew up in East Vancouver with her parents Raymond and Evelyn Roberts, brother Larry and sister Marie. Our family is heartbroken to announce her passing and she will be remembered dearly.

Kathy was always dressed to the nines, nails done, hair curled, makeup immaculately flawless. She was the queen of bling, glamour and elegance. Her exquisite style turned heads wherever she went. A striking woman whose beauty could rival runway models. In 1986 she met the love of her life Shawn. They married in 1988. They travelled the world together and were happily married for 36 years.

Kathy was not only an animal lover, but animals loved her! She doted on animals especially dogs. When people came to visit her home with their dogs, it wasn't uncommon to be dragged to her entrance, be let off the leash, and run down the hallway at great speeds to her door in great anticipation of seeing Kathy. She would greet the dogs and loved giving them treats and sometimes half of her food at the dinner table. She was ceaselessly selfless. She always put everyone's needs ahead of her own. She never wanted anyone to worry about her. Our friend Lou described her best. How did they fit a heart that big in a body that small!

A Celebration of Life will be held Lynn Valley Legion, 1630 Lynn Valley Road between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on March 1, 2025.

The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the SPCA.
